I initially contacted Damien O’Shannessy (no relation), the Principal at Bendigo Real Estate because of his high profile within the local community. In addition, I had heard very favourable reports from my friends and acquaintances regarding his real estate activities through that very familiar “word of mouth” mechanism. In my subsequent dealings with him, all positive reports were proven to be totally and fully correct.
Initially, Damien immediately and accurately identified the appropriate target market for the potential sale of the property and swiftly drew up a detailed yet very reasonably priced advertising strategy. This was immediately provided to me for my approval. The campaign was characterised by thoroughness combined with economy in relation to the all important advertising dollars. I entered the market in search for a new home for myself and my two children, and having built my first home, I was quite nervous about the process, especially considering I was doing it on my own. I enquired on line about a nice house, and Damien O'Shannessy called me back within a couple of hours to ask when would suit me to have a look through the property. From the moment I walked in I knew it was the house I was going to make mine and my children's home, and just 6 weeks later I picked up the keys and moved in.
Damien and the team at Bendigo Real Estate were only too accommodating, ensuring I knew the moment the vendors accepted my offer, making special appointments for me to show the place off to my family and friends even after the deal was done, and keeping in regular contact to make sure I was comfortable with how the transaction was going.
I would recommend dealing with BRE in a heartbeat, and whilst I hope to not have to deal with them any time soon as I can't ever imagine leaving my new home, I will certainly be contacting them again if the need arises.
