Introducing the Better Futures Housing Alliance, an innovative pilot program spearheaded by Community Connections and Better Futures at Anglicare Victoria in the vibrant North Central region of Bendigo. This ground-breaking initiative operates in collaboration with five esteemed real estate agencies in Bendigo: Bendigo Real Estate, Ray White Bendigo, Tweed Sutherland First National, PH Property, and Elders Bendigo. Together, we forge a powerful partnership aimed at transforming the lives of young individuals in need.
Our mission at the Better Futures Housing Alliance is clear: to empower young people in our community to secure housing in the private rental market. Through unwavering dedication and seamless cooperation, our program provides mentorship and placement support to these individuals, ensuring a smooth transition into their own private leases.
In just six months since its inception, the Alliance has already achieved remarkable success, facilitating the placement and support of seven young people from Better Futures into their own rental accommodations. This early triumph is a testament to the effectiveness of our approach and the strength of our partnerships.
Moreover, the Better Futures Housing Alliance has paved the way for new opportunities in housing support. Through collaborative efforts, we have established innovative pathways, including the creation of the Better Futures Rooming House. These initiatives broaden the scope of assistance available to at-risk youth in our community, offering them secure housing solutions and a brighter future.
